Dodgers FanFest Autograph Schedule

Vouchers should go on sale very soon.

From the Dodgers -

Autograph sessions this year will be available for purchase online for $20

This year's Dodgers FanFest, to be held Saturday, Jan. 31, will take place for the first time inside Dodger Stadium and not in the parking lot.

Entrance to the event is free. Vehicle access will be through Parking Gates A, C and E.

Fans then enter through the right-field and left-field plaza gates and will be allowed onto the field, where there will be interactive games, autograph booths, on-stage interviews with players and special appearances by Vin Scully and Tommy Lasorda.

where do i get a vocher?

Roberto Baly said...

@ Koufax Kid - I do not know. I was thinking today but I don't see anything yet. Not sure why they didn't tell us an exact date and time.

Roberto Baly said...

@ Ebolaboi - Correct.

@ Cami Sanchez -

Dodgers.com I posted the link.

How do you find out all this information weeks before it happens?

Don't need to tell me but keep up the good work

Jordan Bacani said...

Are the vouchers on sale yet

MarcoS. said...

This week everyone at the Dodgers are going to be busy with selling new season seats, and putting in new season ticket holders into the system. My guess is they won't go on sale until the end of the week.

I'm sure they'll let people know of an exact time and date the vouchers will go sale seeing how season ticket holders will probably get first dibs before the general public.

Like that they are coping what the Padres do for their fan fests. Yard sales kick ass! Also for $50 plus you can have Tommy get pissed at you. I love it.

Koufax Kid said...

My gut is telling me it will be Friday. Just as usual no info - is bad info. Look on Twitter people are losing their minds over this. I mean I understand that they don't want these vouchers to end up on Craiglist (Like they did last year) but let the fans get a crack at them - hard enough they doubled the price from last year.

ZackAbbey said...

sad that people (crappy people) sell them on craigslist/ebay. there should be some sorta bar code or id code on individual vouchers so they can be tracked, and if they are found being hocked 2nd hand they are rendered no good

PJ said...

U THINK u can pick the session and line?

MarcoS. said...

You can pick any line you want in any session. The thing is all the popular players, alumni, and coach will be gone in 10 seconds so don't plan on hitting up Puig and AGone at this fan fest. You'll be lucky if you get one of them.

My guess is the vouchers will go on sale on Saturday because too many people cried last year about the tickets going on sale in the middle of the work week.

Koufax Kid said...

Yeah last year I was able to get 5 lines - Brian Wilson, Orel, Mattingly, Shawn Green and Nomar.

Puig, McGwire, Ryu and Kemp were sold out before the thing went on sale to the public last year. Good thing is they do have some guys signing twice so there's a good shot to get Howie or Joc. Lots of AAA and new players on here, so a good shot to get them as well. Who are the #1s for people on here?

Roberto Baly said...

I need Greinke.

MarcoS. said...

The names are not as good as last year(if you are not into prospects), so those big names will be gone in a sec. More people seem to be aware of it this year, and people been ditching work all week so they can get a ticket. It will be crazy come 10, that is unless you're a Joc or Kendrick fan.

There is someone signing tomorrow who is impossible to get an autograph from. Not going to say who, but once down in San Diego I gave a ball to Hanley Ramirez so he could ask say player to sign the ball. Dude refused to sign for his own team mate!

MarcoS. said...

Was able to get Greinke and McGwire lines in the season ticket holder presale. Puig line literally sold out in 5 seconds.

Also the VIP experiences range from $100 to $125. :0

John72 said...

In the 10am sale got
Adrian G/Landreaux
Kenley/Cey(who I needed bad for a Dodgers infield auto piece)
Kendrick/random minor leaguer.

My stepdaughter started a Dodgers auto ball last year and will be super happy with Gonzo/Jansen/Kendrick.

I really screwed up as I had a McGwire but tried to open another window and it opened into the same window as the McGwire purchase was in. When I selected McGwire again it was gone. Still Im pleased compared to last year as at least we get a few autos and all three(and Cey) were all stars at some point in their career.

Koufax Kid said...

I was able to get Greinke, Joc Pederson, Kendrick and Van Slyke. It seemed like all the real big ones went right away. Really wanted McGuire, but no luck. Still all the money goes to charity and these are solid for me. Van Slyke was an add on - just so I'm not wandering around doing nothing for 2 hours. See you all there!

Koufax Kid said...

OK Marco spill it - who is the player? Grienke? He NEVER signs.

MarcoS. said...

Yeah it was Grienke. I didn't want to say the name before the tickets went on sale.

Koufax Kid said...

Awesome! Funny enough I bought a Van Slyke too thinking you might be talking about him.

Greinke is notorious - he hates the fame, he hates people talking to him - he just wants to work.

Most of the others on here are easy but it's a fun time at the fan fest - McGuire is the only other guy who won't sign. He is now doing private signings for upwads of 125 bucks. NO Thanks.

Also I added Brandon McCarthy at the last min too - since the dodgers paid so much for him - worth 20 bucks to charity.

Jerry Cabral said...

Anyone have Gonzalez voucher for sale

MarcoS. said...

Didn't know Van Slyke was a hard get, but then I have never really tried to get him. Glad I got Big Mac and Grienke. This is only time you will be able to get these two autos. Also got a couple of Puig tickets during the general public sale. Don't know what I'm going to do with the extra Puig ticket. Might trade it, might use it.

Koufax Kid said...

I might be interested if anyone has a mcguire voucher. Puig is tough because of his signing restrictions, but you should be able to get rid of that thing EASY.

βριαν μωκ said...

Wow, I thought all of the Puig ones were gone in presale. Are you willing to part with the extra at a reasonable price (not the x10 like on craigslist)? I had 2 computers opened at 10am, got Agon but couldnt get Puig. Eventually came away with Kenley/Cey and then Karros.

MarcoS. said...

I might trade the Puig for a Gonzalez. Thinking about keeping the extra though cause I have a bobblehead, rookie cards, and a jersey for Puig to sign.

Jordan Bacani said...

Marco i would love to purchase the puig ticket from you if you are willing to part with it.

Jordan Bacani said...

I just saw a puig ticket on ebay from an out of state seller, what a joke.

Manny Chavez said...

I got a Kenrick/Hatcher and Grandal/Withrow for my kids. I also have a Bill Russell/ Chris Hatcher I am willing to trade. Any one interested?

βριαν μωκ said...

Yeah resellers are ridiculous. So I am still a newbie at this, I didnt realize it would get swooped up this fast and resold for that high. I should have bought 2 of Agons and etc. for trade or resale to defray cost. Even like the not great lines are selling for 30-40. I also dont have as many options planned, probably going with black baseballs, which was something cool I found out about during the last event I went to.

βριαν μωκ said...

So the least popular line (ones that are still purchasable) are the ones with Steve Yeagar. hmm

Koufax Kid said...

I am a dodgers fan. I bleed blue. But I have to say one thing- people claiming to be true fans and trying to charge upwards of 300 for these vouchers are not real fans. They are trying to make a few bucks off the fans. Boycott these people. I would gladly hook someone up with a voucher if they needed one for face if I had extras. It's what is wrong with this hobby and a good reason for the dodgers to keep upping the prices - next year, mark my words vouchers will be 40 a line. Thanks scumbags.

βριαν μωκ said...

Do you have any extras? I figure if I am driving all the way down from Stanford and pissing off my research advisor, I might as well try maximize the experience/return of this trip.

MarcoS. said...

Not going to lie, I have started to mull over about selling the extra Puig. There is a non Dodgers related bobblehead I really want, but it's really expensive to get one eBay right now. Still for the time being I'm planning on keeping the extra voucher just cause I don't know if it's going to start getting harder to get Puig's auto. If I do sell I'll just auction it on Ebay instead of charging some obnoxious price. I'm still interested though if someone has a extra Agone.

@βριαν μωκ

Yeah that was my mistake last year. When I saw I had a chance at a Puig ticket I didn't hesitate for two cause I knew an extra Puig ticket makes for great trade bait. I don't know about people selling the less popular lines for $40 more so that there are a lot dicks out there thinking they can make a quick profit off of Dodgers fans. People can charge whatever they want, doesn't mean they'll make anything on it. I hope they don't make anything on it cause I know they won't show up to fan fest to redeem those tickets.

I'm not the biggest expert on signing baseballs (more of a bobblehead/jersey guy), but I could have sworn black baseballs were for Hall of Fame players. Don't know if you want to be using HOF balls on non HOF players, but that's just my personal view point. I have seen some people use black balls on non HOF players.

Also Yeager is a super easy auto to get. Just show up to any Dodgers batting practice and he'll sign for you if you can get his attention. He'll also sign for you if you show up to his Jersey Mike's shop out in the Valley (when he is there).

βριαν μωκ said...

Idk, it seems like its just used so you can have a gold/silver signature, which is why I think its cool. Guy I was standing in line with at the Clayton/LA Auto Show event was showing them to me. Being new in this hobby, I just picked that to be what I am going to collect.

Arr0w Kid said...

Hope voucher prices don't actually go up to 40 bucks next year....
@ KoufaxKid: you still interested in trading for a mcguire voucher ?

Koufax Kid said...

Hey Arrow - I sure would. Let me know what you would want for it, I have a few extra signed balls from people that I wouldn't mind trading for it.

If you would want one of these LMK, I also have tons of signed cards, photos, etc

Jordan Bacani said...

@MarcoS i would love to buy that puig before you put it on ebay if you decide to sell it

David said...

Lol the things people do for a autograph, I see puig and jabbar every other day in the valley just a quick what's up and that's it, what's puigs autograph wort anyway?

John72 said...

Trolling rabid Dodger fans David?

You can find what a Puig auto sells for by doing a search on ebay for "puig autograph JSA" and clicking on completed auctions.

Koufax Kid said...

Arrow - let me know if you want to chat off-line about a trade.

Also a word to the wise - Last year Puig had many restictions about what he would sign. I'm fairly sure he wouldn't sign bats and was only side paneling baseballs with a Sharpie. He has a contract for autographs, just beware before you pay 300 bucks and get really upset.

Cheers!

David said...

Time is to valuable to spend it in lines begging for a autograph. Go Dodgers!!!!!

MarcoS. said...

Exactly David. People don't have enough time in their lives to be hunting down autographs, and that's why they are dropping $200 to get one. Fan Fest and Gran Fiesta are the only times of year where people can conveniently get autos from their favorite Dodgers players. Well that and Frank and Sons. I wouldn't pay $125 to meet Tommy cause I see him all the time in Fullerton, but I'm sure there were a ton of people from the Valley who paid that much to meet him this Saturday.

Does anyone have advice on arriving? Best gate to use?

Also, my first auto session is at 1110. If I arrive at the stadium at say, 1000, will that work out ok? Or is it just going to be a mess. and I need to get there an hour before the gates open? I've never been to one of these......

Koufax Kid said...

All I know is from last year, it went like this...I drove in at 930, waited in line until 10 when they opened the gates and from there it was super organized. They wont let you get in line for your session until it starts, or rigth before that - so if you get there by 10AM you will be totally good and have time to get a dodger dog on your way in.

Good luck!

Jae Monet said...

I have tickets to the Dodgers Fanfest Autograph sessions this weekend. Something came up so I can't go. I have Session 1 Line 3 Pederson and Daniel Coulombe and Session 2 Line 2 Kendrick and Chris Hatcher. I'm selling them for $30. Not to take advantage but simply because of the time I spent trying to get them and the work of getting rid of them. Email me at jsfreeth17@yahoo.com if you're interested.

Very happy with how everything went. Some overly antsy fans made the auto lines more difficult than they needed to be(You really didn't need to line up 45min- an hour before the signing took place, and later the dodgers actively discouraged it). But overall things went great.

I also liked the yardsale. I was able to get a used batting jersey(No 74...Jansen) for $20 and my stepdaughter got a unnamed jersey for $10. Also picked up a rack box of 1986 Topps baseball for $20, an 1987 traded set for $4(Maddux rookie), and a 1989 traded set for $3(R. Johnson and Griffey Jr Rookies). The jerseys were a steal and the baseball cards were mild bargains.

Had a really enjoyable day!

MarcoS. said...

To add on what John said, Fanfest was mixed a bag of bad and good, but mostly good. I do have some major negative things to say that has more to do with that fans than the Dodgers. Some of the fans (mostly those autograpgh people lining up an hour and a half before) were over anxious, and being straight up self entitled jerks.

Because people spent $20 and waited 2 hour longer than they needed to, that entitled people to complain or cry when a player didn't sign 50 of their items, or didn't sign certain items, or didn't sign on the sweet spot, even though there were giant signs everywhere that stated only 1 item per voucher and the player refuses the right to sign certain items. If you paid $200 for a ticket you are also no more entitled than the person who paid $20 for it. It's not on the Dodgers that people overpaid for a free signing, which this event was. It's on those people who overpaid and expected they should be entitled to a Frank and Sons quality show.

I'm not even going to go into the full details about something that happened during the Puig autograpgh session because it will only fuel the idiots on the internet who think Puig is the anti-Christ. What I will say is that Puig was in a very generous and jovial mood, and everyone had to take advantage of it. After a while an incident occured which I somehow got in the middle of, and then the very people who helped create the incident wanted to complain to the highest level Dodger employee about what a horrible person Puig was. I'm pretty sure security probably knows why this incident went down, but I had to say something to defend Yasiel. People were being straight up asses, and if you want to critcize any little thing Puig does but not look in mirror then don't go trying getting his auto. There is one family that does have some room to complain (even though I had warn them to not do what they did), but for the most there were a lot of people who felt the need to throw rocks at a beehive.

Now I don't want to make it out like everyone there was acting in this way because it really only was a minority number of fans there. These people though turned what was suppose to be an enjoyable event into a drama filled chore. I don't agree with the way Tommy Lasorda explodes on some of the fans sometimes at these autograpg sessions, but sometimes he's right to get pissed at certain people. There was a reason why Matt Kemp got fed up with certain autograph hounds last season.

If people would just give their one item, thank the player for making time to be there, be grateful for what you get, and simply move on, then there would be no issues. Some people can't do that though.
