Autographs: Jose Canseco

A nice crowd came out to see Jose Canseco at Harry's Dugout in Whittier last Saturday. I had to go since I realized that I don't have his autograph. I do have a book signed by Canseco but I wanted to get a 8x10 picture and a 1987 Topps card signed. This guy is a big part of baseball history if you like it or not. First 40/40 member, '86 R.O.Y. and '88 A.L. MVP.

Harry's Dugout is a little shop full of baseball cards and sports memorabilia. You should stop by and check it out for yourself.

Jose Canseco was in a good mood and did talk to the fans for a bit. It was interesting seeing so many big Canseco fans show up. Fans brought some old stuff for Canseco to sign. One guy brought a huge Mother's card of Canseco and Mark McGwire titled "Bash Brother's". Another guy brought a scrapbook full of newspaper clippings from the 80's and 90's to show it to Canseco.

Got my picture and '87 card signed.

Big thanks to Jose Canseco, Harry's Dugout, Edward and all the staff for running a smooth event. It was also great meeting many readers of this blog. Really cool that a bunch of you went. I'll keep you updated with future events at Harry's Dugout.

The next one that's confirmed is Tim Wallach. Click here for more details.

Cool, I'm looking forward to the Tim Wallach signing. Did they charge you for two items? I want to have Mr. Wallach sign a ball and card, but wasn't sure if they would charge me for two items.
