Pictures: Carl Crawford Press Conference

Carl Crawford was introduced as the new left fielder at a Dodger Stadium press conference earlier today. Crawford is excited to be in Los Angeles and says one of his goals is to bring a championship here. Crawford will wear #25.

Putting on the jersey, Crawford said "It feels good. This is a dream come true".

“Things didn’t go as planned in Boston,” Crawford said.  “I’m happy for a new start. I just didn’t play well enough there, for whatever reason. It just didn’t work. I didn’t do my part.”

Dodgers GM Ned Colletti says he is looking forward in having Crawford in the lineup with Matt Kemp, Adrian Gonzalez, Andre Ethier and Hanley Ramirez. “I think it’s the best lineup we’ve put out here since I’ve been here and has a chance to be one of the better lineups in the league. That said, they’re going to have to do it. You’ve got to play the games,” Colletti said.

I came too late to see Crawford today, but the 50% sale and being able to go out on the field and go into the Dodgers dugout was totally worth the trip.

I heard a few interesting things from the reps today about the stadium renovation, ticket structure, and next season promos. There are many rows being taken out all over the stadium for more disabled seating, so if you use to have seats in the last row of a section be prepared to move down. I also overheard some fans say that they were told that entire sections are being taken out, but I did not hear that from a reps I talked to.

This next thing isn't 100% official yet, but the Dodgers are planning to start using a ticket structure that is simiar to what is used in Anaheim with premium games. The premium games will affect single game tickets and mini plans, but won't affect season ticket holders in terms of pricing and availabilty. Speaking of mini plans, they should go on sale in the next week or two.

Finally the promotion schedule isn't finalized yet, but it looks like we are going to get another 10 bobbleheads this season.

Hi Marco,

I talked to a ticket rep too and said pretty much the same thing. I'll have more next week.
