The Cool-A-Coo was so good

The Cool-A-Coo is back! I got one right before the first pitch.

COOLACOOBALY

So good. Vanilla ice cream wedged between oatmeal cookies and dipped in chocolate. Only $5.75.

Costco needs to sell these.

Tommy Lasorda and Ron Cey seemed to enjoy the ice cream sandwich. By the way, my 15-month old son ate half of it!

Did you eat one?

OK, so we were on the reserve level and both snack bars I went to acted like they didn't even know what I was talking about! I'm glad you got to have one. Maybe next time for us. You're right, Costco needs to sell them.

Looks good! Booooo it says "Giant" at the top. Well, I'm glad we got rid of the "It's It" cuz it's a San Francisco Treat!

I'm sure some people might not be aware of this, but the Cool A Coos being now served at Dodgers Stadium is not the same Cool A Coos that were being served to us back 20 years ago. The original onwers who made the Cool A Coos sold the naming rights to the product over a decade ago. These new Cool A Coos we are eating at Dodgers stadium are essentailly a replica of the original. There were a lot of legality issues the Dodgers had to go through just so their food services company could get these ice cream sandwiches back to being made, so I highly doubt you will be seeing the Cool A Coo anywhere outside of Dodgers Stadium. Thankfully the original makers of the Cool A Coos still make the dessert treat, but just under a different name now. You can still pick up the original at the El Monte Dairy.

On Sunday I'm going to stop by the dairy and pick up some of the original Cool A Coos, then take it to Dodgers stadium and compare them to the new Cool A Coos.
