Yes, I'm alive

I'm alive. Still hospitalized. I haven't updated anything since I didn't have anything new to say. I keep getting antibiotics through an IV line and also taking oral meds. But yesterday I did go through another procedure. Surgeons put a needle in my back that went all the way to my lungs. Took out tissues to have them tested. There might be some preliminary results out later tonight. If doctors don't see anything bad then I might be released from the hospital. Of course, if I do get out it will be with me taking a oral meds. I will also have to come to the hospital for regular check ups.

Hopefully I'm out today or sometime this weekend. I do feel better. I'm eating a little bit more. Hospital food is not that bad but I prefer food from home. I might have to get on a fat diet since I lost more than 20 pounds. Walking is still a issue for me. I'm only able to walk around for about 15 minutes. I need to get in shape. Being in bed 24/7 for three weeks is not healthy.

Also my scar from last weeks surgery healed quickly. So I don't have to worry about that when I get home. The only problem is that it's very sore and I don't think I'll be able to lift my son for a while.

Here's a personal story...

Remember when my son was hospitalized last February? I stayed every night in the hospital and there was a night where my son wakes up and cries. I feel so bad and it's the worst feeling in the world where you know you can't help him. I prayed and wished that I want him to be released and I should be the one hospitalized.

Damn, I didn't think my wish was going to be granted. Hopefully this is the end of being sick.

In other news...

Kirk Gibson sent me this via Josh Rawitch.

Thanks Josh. We miss you in L.A. and I hope you're happy in Arizona.

I also got these beautiful flowers from Molly Knight of ESPN, Jon Weisman of Dodger Thoughts and Eric Stephen of True Blue L.A.

Thank you!

I'd like to thank everyone that has sent me get well soon messages via email, twitter and facebook. I feel bad that I never comment on them but I do read every single message and I appreciate it. I have rarely used my computer these last three weeks. That's the reason I'm not replying. But thank you.

That's all for now. I guess my next post shall be when I get back home. If for some reason, I do need to stay then I'll give you the bad news.

Thanks everyone. See you soon.
