I took big Erik to the first Dodgers FanFest. I was there for the autographs. I wasn't interested in all the stuff that was going on but I heard it was a great event. It ran from 12pm to the start of game (7pm). I left around 4pm.
From the beginning....
Tyronne got there early hustling... I got myself a few shirts.

The entrance. There was a big crowd lining up already.

Lines for the autographs.

Justin Sellers.

Ron Cey

I thought the Dodgers could have done a better job with the lines. Here you see four tents. Each tent has a table with two players signing autographs. How about just keep going to all four tents? I remember going to a Angels FanFest a long time ago and it was quicker. But then again, there was less fans.

Hello Kitty

James Loney..... I had a nice jersey card that wouldn't sign. Loney was nice enough to wait for me while I take out another card.

Jerry Hairston Jr & Kenley Jansen.

1988 World Series Trophy. Did you know that in the back of this trophy it says "Copyright 1983"? I thought that was interesting.

Not sure what's going on here.

There was a great Dodgers memorabilia in display.

Former Dodgers pitcher Dennis Powell was walking around. He was surprised I had a few cards for him to sign.
One fan asked "You're still pitching"?

It was worth coming just to hear Vin Scully speak for a few minutes.

Dodger fan with a nice shirt.

Ken McMullen....
He signed two cards for me with a regular pen. I was disappointed.

Wes Parker! It was worth coming too because of Parker. I'll explain in a future post but I needed him to sign a particular card.

Billy Ashley

Kenny Landreaux

Lee Lacy. He loved my Baltimore Orioles cards.

I left early. Too hot. Went inside the stadium to catch batting practice.

Thanks to the Dodgers for doing this. Maybe another one is in the works? How about a FanFest before the season?

looks like a good time. i wish dennis powell signed ttm - he's got a cool signature.
did wes parker sign legibly/boldly and with a sharpie? he will sign through the mail, but it's very light and in ballpoint.
At the game, they said that they'll be doing a fan fest again next year.
