Another update on my health

I really hate writing these posts. Which is the reason I have avoided to open the laptop. But here's the latest...

The lung test results they did last week where they put a camera inside my throat came back and doctors were surprised to not find anything. No infection at all. It doesn't mean I still don't have a infection but the tests is not showing up anything. Doctors are still giving me antibiotics through an IV. That's going on at least 20 hours out of the day.

And remember I told you about my pain in my left shoulder? Well the doctors wanted to do surgery last week to find out why I have that pain and what's causing it. They decided to wait until they receive the lung tests and since they are frustrated with the results, I will be heading for surgery today.

The procedure I'm going to go through is called 'Lymph Node Biopsy'. A lymph node biopsy removes lymph node tissue to be looked at under a microscope for signs of infection or a disease, such as cancer.

Scary. It's frustrating because yesterday I was getting my appetite back and ate breakfast and dinner. I'm starting to feel better. I'm walking around without any problems and thinking to myself that maybe these antibiotics have already killed whatever was bothering me. But since I still have that pain in my left shoulder, doctors want to go there and see what the problem is. My pain is right below my armpit.

Google 'chronic granulomatous disease' if you'd like to read more about my condition.
Thanks to all who have written. I have read everything but I haven't responded. I'm honestly not on the computer since I just want to be in bed. But I do appreciate the support and concern. It does bring a smile to my face that many people care.

That's all for now. Just hoping surgery is successful and I can feel better soon.

I will most likely not write another post until I get results from today's surgery.  That might not happen until the weekend.

Take care everyone.

Roberto, we hope all is well, and all the tests come back negative. It's so frustrating to be sick, especially when they cant find out what is wrong. Take good care of yourself.

Seems like you're turning a corner. If you're eating now and walking around, keep it up. Who knows, maybe the shoulder pain is just one of those things that they never figure out and it goes away and no one knows. Bodies are weird, I remember when I was parazyled from the waste down for like a week and it just went away. Stay up brotha.

Hey Robbie, Long time reader, first time ...contributor.. I guess. Wish you the best of luck. I know you're just gathering your strength to walk around...but I just wanted to wish you luck in your recovery. I had no idea about your condition. Just to give you some kind of support, I'll be running the SF marathon in late July with a dodger flag. They flew a flag over our stadium, I'm running ours on their turf. Go blue!
