Pictures: Press Conference introducing the new ownership group

The Dodgers held a press conference this morning at Dodger Stadium to introduce the new ownership group. Magic Johnson announced that parking will now cost you $10 instead of $15. Johnson also repeatably said that none of the money will go to Frank McCourt. Johnson seemed irritated when a reporter kept asking him if McCourt was getting any money at all and Johnson said nothing is going towards McCourt. He also said "Frank's not here anymore. We should be clapping for just that."

I like the way Johnson mentioned the past. He respects the former players and had very nice words for Peter O'Malley. I thought it was a nice moment when they introduced players like Don Newcombe, Steve Garvey, Ron Cey, Eric Karros and the rest.

And how about Vin Scully saying he was fed up? That was really funny. I also hope this ownership group lasts for a very long time and can bring championships to the city of Los Angeles.

Stan Kasten said a lot of things. I think as fans we have to be patient since they just came in. Don't expect them to make major moves right away. He did mention that he would like fans to send emails and tell them your suggestions. Here's the email -

Send them a email and tell them what's on your mind.

@ ChipzzFlipzz - You're not suppose to get autographs at those events. It's a press conference. said...

Robert, first of all thanks on everything you do, especially sharing all your great experiences on your blog & emails, it almost feels like I get to be there too. I was thinking we shouldn't call the old timers 'former' Dodgers, they're not on the rosters but they're Dodgers for life. Maybe 'Classic' Dodgers . just a thought...

You always surprise me that's the only reason I asked about autographs. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful story.
