2012 Dodgers FanFest

Yesterday morning I passed along the FanFest details that the Dodgers gave me. {linked here}

Right away I was receiving emails asking me a bunch of questions. I'll get back to you today. I was in San Diego catching the Dodgers/Padres game and didn't get the opportunity to reply. I promise I will.

I did receive a few negative emails already. The FanFest is not here yet and you're already complaining? Why are Dodger fans so angry? Can't you just enjoy the day and be thankful at whatever autographs you were able to get?

Here's the schedule -

5:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.              Autograph session with Tommy Lasorda

You're not going to get the whole team so don't start complaining. Each player is only signing for 30 minutes and you know it's going to be crowded. If you don't get the first group, you will be getting the second or third group and so on.

From what I can tell, Vin Scully and Matt Kemp are not going to be signing autographs. They will most likely be interviewed.

I love this comment and I agree. It was left by MarcoS at yesterdays post.

I'm not saying this event is going to be disorganized, I'm just saying some of the people who are going to show up to this event, in specific the Ethier auto seekers, will probably be disorganized and rude.

I'm expecting line cutting, I'm expecting profanity when players and coaches are finished with their sessions, I'm expecting cat fights (Ethier line), I'm expecting Lasorda will be grumpy, I'm expecting Fernando will sign 15 autos in 30 minutes then the 1,000 person line will want to start a mini riot, and finally I'm expecting I won't be able to use the Dodgers stadium restrooms until 5 pm.

Yeah, expect this and more. So don't be a jerk and enjoy the day. Oh, always thank Tommy Lasorda after receiving his autograph. If you don't, he will kick your butt.

Enjoy it.

Click here for more details and sign the waiver. The Dodgers don't want to get sued.

If you're going down early to get Ethier's auto and you are not there at 12 on the dot, don't even bother because you are not getting it. If there are more than 50 people in front of you in the Fernando line, forget about it as well because I promise you are not getting that either.

I'm sure people will read this who have never been to a free signing before, they still won't listen, and they will still get mad even though we told them so.

On a side note it's bizzare that Abreu was at Angels fanfest a few weeks ago, and now he is going to be at Dodgers fanfest.

They shouldn't even have a autograph session, now all the stupid cholos and hood rats will be there. They make me sick they have no class or any kind of respect or common sense. Why do the Dodgers have to have such trash fans like the Raiders?
