Blog Contest - 2 Tickets for this Sunday
I don't want to mail these tickets to you since I'm afraid you might not get them by Saturday. I can forward these tickets by email. You do have to pay a $2 service fee per ticket.
Just leave a comment here (ONLY 1 COMMENT!) if you are interested. I'll use Random.org to select a winner. You have until 1pm tomorrow (Thursday) to leave a comment. I will announce the winner at 2pm. Please participate only if you are able to go and is willing to pay the service fees. I repeat, these are Top Deck tickets.
What's going on this Sunday?
The Dodgers will celebrate Jackie Robinson Day on the 65th anniversary of the day Robinson broke the color barrier as a Dodger and all uniformed personnel will wear number 42 in his honor.
The First African Methodist Episcopal Church Unity Choir will perform the national anthem and God Bless America and seven of the Dodgers’ Team 42 scholars, who receive college scholarships through the Dodgers Dream Foundation and the Jackie Robinson Foundation, will be recognized on the field before the game.
Kids Jackie Robinson Sweatbands presented by Melissa’s Produce will be given to the first 15,000 kids age 14 and under in attendance at the game.
Sunday is the first Dodger Youth Baseball Day of the season and Little League teams will have the opportunity to parade on the field before the game.
It is also the first Viva Los Dodgers Day of the season, presented by State Farm, Chevrolet and Time Warner Cable. The season-long initiative is in its third year and celebrates the legacy of Latin American Dodger players past and present at a family-friendly pregame festival held in lot 6 two hours prior to each Sunday's game. This Sunday, Last Comic Standing winner Felipe Esparza and Mexican-American band Moonlight Trio will perform. For more information, visit www.dodgers.com/viva.
Following the game, children age 14 and under can participate in Kids Run the Bases.
And Clayton Kershaw is scheduled to start!
