Dodgers Caravan, Autographs and a Kershaw surprise!

When I posted details on the Dodgers Caravan last Friday, not many fans were happy about it. All events are closed to the public with the exception of one event. I wasn't going to get mad and complain. I took advantage of the only public event.

Fans had the opportunity to have lunch with the Dodgers. They were going to unveil the location via Twitter at 12:30 p.m.

Lunch was from 1:30 to 2:30. We had an hour to get to that location. I decided to leave my house at 10:45 am since I don't live near Los Angeles and I wanted to be close to downtown L.A. so when the Dodgers announce it, I will be close by. It was raining when I left and it was dry when I got to L.A. at 11:30.

I stayed close to Dodger Stadium. I kept refreshing my phone to see if the Dodgers gave us any update on the lunch.

On my way to Mercado La Paloma!

Never been there and had no idea how to get there. I'm thankful for my phone navigation. Not far from Dodger Stadium either.

I arrived right before 1pm. A few Dodger fans were already seating down eating. I took a table and started going through my baseball cards.

I have too many baseballs and pictures signed by these players that I'm going to try something different this year. I've been stocking up on baseball cards since October. Getting ready for this year. It's something I can pass to my son.

Video - Dodgers arrived at El Mercado La Paloma. Guess who arrived?

Clayton Kershaw? Why?

I did not know that Kershaw had just signed a new contract. I checked on Twitter and saw the news.

What a surprise. Thankfully I brought a few Kershaw cards.

Dodgers staff told us that they will be signing autographs and there will be two lines. It was really organized and they did a fantastic job.
