It hit me this morning while listening to Foo Fighters....

Driving this morning and I'm hearing sports talk. I change it between 710am and 570am. My six month old son hates listening to people that are screaming. I don't know why but I'm thinking sports talk is boring for him. He starts complaining and screaming. I can't blame him when all you're listening to is Lakers fans crying because they weren't able to get Chris Paul.

So I had to flip it to the FM dial. Music always makes him happy. KROQ was on and "My Hero" from the Foo Fighters was playing. Baby calms down and starts to laugh and moving his arms.

Hiroki Kuroda warms up in the bullpen and you will hear "My Hero" from the Foo Fighters. Kuroda comes up to the plate and the Foo Fighters is on. This was Kuroda's song since he came up to the Dodgers in 2008. While listening to the song, it reminded me that Kuroda will no longer play for the Dodgers because Dodgers GM Ned Colletti signed about ten "scrappy, veteran presence, leadership" infielders and they could no longer afford him. Instead, he goes out and signs Aaron Harang and Chris Capuano. I think it hit me today that Kuroda is gone. *cries*

I dedicate this song to Hiroki Kuroda. Thanks for the memories.

Oh, and I have to frame this pix.

My favorite band and one of my favorite Dodger pitchers.

BTW, I took my 6 1/2 year old to his first "real concert" a few months back - Foo Fighters @ the Forum!

He only made it through the first 45 minutes before falling asleep, but then he woke up for the last encore. Good times.
