Regal to Publish Book by Clayton Kershaw and His Wife, Ellen Kershaw

Thanks to Regal Books for the following info -

Clayton Kershaw and his wife Ellen have co-authored a book titled "Arise: Live Out Your Faith and Dreams on Whatever Field You Field Yourself". It will be released on January 18, 2012. 208 pages. Suggested retail price is set for $17.99.

Book Description from Regal -

Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw is best known for the curveball Vin Scully dubbed “Public Enemy Number One.” But Clayton sees his ability to throw a baseball as just one way he lives out his passion for God. In Arise, he teams up with his wife, Ellen, to share what they have learned about making a difference in the world while living out your God-given dreams.

Long before Clayton began his pro baseball career, he and Ellen made a commitment to live out their faith in Christ by giving to others—and they see their success on and off the field as blessings to be shared with those who are hurting most.

Dodgers catcher A.J. Ellis writes the foreword -

“His passion for winning and supporting the success of his teammates is genuine, and this is never more evident than on game day. After doing all he can to prepare between starts, Clayton walks into the clubhouse for his scheduled start with his game face on. For some pitchers this ‘game face’ is a fa├žade, simply to show their teammates that they are serious about the game. For Clayton, it is obvious to all of us that the fire inside is real and that this game is important. It makes us want to win for him. You can see and feel his drive and passion.”
