The ThinkCure! online auction launched Tuesday, June 21 at 1:00 p.m., at www.thinkcure.org/auction and www.dodgers.com/thinkcure. The auction will run until Tuesday, June 28 at 12:00 p.m., following the fourth annual ThinkCure! Weekend at Dodger Stadium from Friday, June 24 through Sunday, June 26.
Several once-in-a-lifetime Dodger experiences will be included in the auction, including a visit with Vin Scully in his broadcast booth and a trip to Spring Training at Camelback Ranch – Glendale that includes a behind-the-scenes tour. Other auction experiences include a base running lesson with Dodger First Base Coach Davey Lopes, a pitching lesson with Dodger Pitching Coach Rick Honeycutt, a hitting lesson with Dodger Hitting Instructor Dave Hansen and a bunting lesson with former Dodger Maury Wills. Fans can also bid on the chance to sit in on Don Mattingly’s pre- and post-game media sessions, the opportunity to throw out the first pitch at a Dodger game, an insider tour of the DodgerVision booth and the chance to watch the game and eat dinner in the Dugout Club with Don Newcombe.
Other unique experiences include a trip to Churchill Downs that includes a race named in the winner’s honor, airfare and a three-night stay at the Hyatt Regency Louisville, a NASCAR racing experience with airfare for two, a trip to Kennedy Space Center and a hot air balloon adventure. Also available are a signed pair of Muhammad Ali’s boxing gloves and a guitar autographed by the Rolling Stones.
Numerous memorabilia items will be auctioned off, including signed jerseys and baseballs as well as an Opie Otterstad 1955 Dodgers Celebration painting autographed by the late Johnny Podres and a framed and autographed photo of Fernando Valenzuela. Dodger Hall of Fame Manager Tommy Lasorda will also personalize two signed photos for lucky winners.
Dodger broadcast partners have contributed unique experiences to the auction, including behind-the-scenes tours and meet and greets with media personalities including Patrick O’Neal and Jim Watson of PRIME TICKET, Jim Hill, Pat Harvey and Jackie Johnson of KCAL, Josh Suchon, Joe Block, John Phillips, Larry Elder and Peter Tilden of KABC and Jim Ladd and Mark and Brian of KLOS.
In addition, fans can bid on memorabilia autographed by Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Madonna, James Denton, Josh Duhamel, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, The Doors and Billy Joel, a suite at a Dodger game, a press box tour with Dodger organist Nancy Bea Hefley and much more.
Auction items were donated by the Los Angeles Dodgers, PRIME TICKET, KBCS/KCAL, KABC, KLOS and generous ThinkCure! supporters.

ThinkCure! is an innovative, community-based non-profit that accelerates collaborative research to cure cancers.
