The Dodgers will pay to repair Vin Scully's Hollywood Star

This is the latest on Vin Scully's Hollywood Star....

Scully found out about fans donating money to fix his Hollywood Star and he wasn't too happy about it.

The Dodgers have just sent me this message:

When the Dodgers learned of the project, we approached Vin with our plans to pay for it and he was very grateful because he simply did not want fans to spend their hard earned money on repairing the star. That said, he is aware of the campaign and extremely humbled and appreciative of the efforts of Glenn and others.

Thanks to the Dodgers and Josh Rawitch for the latest. I hope this ends the mini controversy over the star. It was not my intention to create a buzz over it. I was simply complaining over a old red carpet. And that's it. I think the fact that the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce were trying to cover up their mess and not being honest with me, the story just got bigger and bigger.

Once again, I'd like to thank the Dodgers for paying the costs to fix the star. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is now in the process of getting the repairs scheduled.

The star will be fixed soon. And big thanks to Glenn Mingay for starting a website to accept donations. He's aware of this news and is appreciative to those that did donate.

I'm glad that this news will have a happy ending.

Thanks everyone!
