Andre Ethier @ Union Rescue Mission

Andre Ethier visited the Union Rescue Mission in downtown Los Angeles earlier this afternoon. Ethier volunteered and served food to the homeless. Farmer John donated 500 Dodger Dog hot dogs and Ethier grilled them. The Dodgers also donated 1,000 Dodger fleece blankets.

This is the fourth consecutive year that Ethier has volunteered at the Union Rescue Mission.

Last March, the Dodgers and Farmer John announced that with each home run that Ethier hits during this season, 1000 pounds of food will be donated to the Union Rescue Mission.

“To have the opportunity to help those who are less fortunate definitely provides additional motivation during every game," said Ethier. “I am happy to be teaming up with Farmer John again to help those in need here in Los Angeles for an effort that is close to my heart.”

It's inspiring & wonderful to see a multi-talented, multi-millionaire spend his day off helping those less lucky.
