Andre Ethier visits Celebration of Life at City of Hope

I had a nice opportunity to witness this cool event last Friday by City of Hope and ThinkCure!

In the midst of a 24 game hitting streak, Andre Ethier took time last Friday afternoon to give a speech at City of Hope Hospital. It was the 35th annual Celebration of Life Bone Marrow Transplant Reunion at City of Hope in Duarte.

Approximately 1,500 cancer survivors and their family members attended this private event to celebrate life and for some to meet their Bone Marrow donors for the first time.

City of Hope is one of the Dodgers’ partner hospitals in the team’s official charity, ThinkCure! Ethier has made numerous visits to this hospital.

City of Hope is a leading research, treatment and education center for cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening diseases. Designated as a comprehensive cancer center, the highest honor bestowed by the National Cancer Institute, and a founding member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, City of Hope's research and treatment protocols advance care throughout the nation. City of Hope is ranked as one of “America’s Best Hospitals” in cancer and urology by U.S. News & World Report. Founded in 1913, City of Hope is a pioneer in the fields of bone marrow transplantation and genetics.
