Jackie & Rachel Robinson Exhibition

Terry of Baseball Reliquary sends this info of a Jackie and Rachel Robinson exhibit that has just started.


Celebrating Jackie and Rachel Robinson, an exhibition of photographs, artworks, and artifacts examining the relationship between Jackie Robinson, who grew up less than half a mile from the La Pintoresca Branch Library, and Rachel Robinson, arguably the most important woman in baseball history, despite having never played the game. Also on view on the library's walls is artist Tina Hoggatt's Eight Ballplayers from the Negro Leagues, a collection of prints and drawings of legendary African American players in the years before the integration of baseball.
