According to a press note, the Dodgers will travel 38,127 miles this season.
From the Dodgers -
The Dodgers announced today a new multi-year partnership with United Airlines that will link the two global brands through a multi-faceted partnership. Starting this 2011 season, United, the Official Airline of the Los Angeles Dodgers, will transport the team and staff for all road games. This marks the first year that the Dodgers have travelled to away games on United Airlines charter; the Dodgers will travel a total of 38,127 miles to cities all over the country on United during the 2011 regular season.
In addition to becoming the team’s official airline, United will also become the first ever entitlement partner of the Dodgers Club Suites and Suite concourse, an extensive corridor of 35 luxury suites that stretches from the third base-side, surrounds home plate and ends at the outer corner of right field.
“The premium brand experience of the new airline that has resulted from the merger of United and Continental is consistent with not only the premium seating experience at Dodger Stadium, but also the aesthetic we have for this level of the stadium,” said Michael Young, Chief Revenue Officer of the Dodgers. “The United team worked closely with the Dodgers to establish new branded entry signage that will greet fans as they enter the level in addition to United branded items within the Club Suites.”
