Tickets - Dodgers vs Reds @ Las Vegas

Tickets for the Dodgers/Reds contest on Wednesday, March 31 at Cashman Field in Las Vegas go on sale Monday, March 1st at 12pm. {linked here}

Tickets for the Major League Baseball Spring Training game between the Cincinnati Reds and the back-to-back National League West Division champions, the Los Angeles Dodgers, will go on sale on Monday, March 1 at noon at the Cashman Field box office.

Tickets can also be purchased through TicketMaster (1-800-745-3000, www.ticketmaster.com). TicketMaster outlets are located at selected Smith's Food & Drug, Ritmo Latino and the Golden Gate Hotel & Casino. The Cashman Field box office is open Monday-Friday from Noon - 4:30 p.m.

The following are the individual game ticket prices for the Reds/Dodgers contest on Wednesday, March 31 at 7:05 p.m. at Cashman Field: $30 for reserved seats, berm and grandstand; $45 for plaza seats and $50 for field seats. The Reds and Dodgers game will feature split squads.

I've been to Cashman Field once. The Dodgers played a exhibition game against the Seattle Mariners a couple of years ago. It's a long story but after the game, my wife and I drove back home. The car didn't make it pass the Nevada/California border. We were stuck for about two hours and didn't make it back home till 7am...

My advice if you go, make sure your car is in good condition and stay in a hotel after the game. Don't be a idiot like me! :)

Media Photo Day

It's Media Photo Day at Camelback Ranch this morning. That's where all the big media types have a chance to take pictures of the Dodgers. KCAL, Sony, Associated Press, Getty Images, MLB Photos, UPI, US Presswire and Topps are among those that are invited to take pictures. Sorry, "Vin Scully Is My Homeboy" was not invited. Hey, maybe next year!

Don't worry, I didn't have to be there. Pictures are being posted online by the AP.

Radio Interview: Matt Kemp

Myers and Hartman from Fox Sports Radio 570 am interviewed Matt Kemp yesterday. Kemp talked about his charity event, Rihanna, the upcoming season and more. I'm surprised that Kemp didn't hang up on these guys. Just read the questions that they asked Kemp. Yeah, mostly related to Rihanna.

"Did you buy her a diamond necklace?"

"How did you two meet?'

"Are you guys dating?"

"What common interests do you guys have"

Dodgers 2010 Television Broadcast Schedule

DODGERS ANNOUNCE 2010 TELEVISION BROADCAST SCHEDULE

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Dodgers have announced their 2010 regular season television broadcast schedule, which includes approximately two thirds of games on PRIME TICKET and one third on KCAL 9. National and regional telecasts on FOX and ESPN complete the schedule.

PRIME TICKET enters its 14th season as a Dodger broadcast partner. Season-long coverage on PRIME TICKET will again be delivered in High Definition and include “Dodgers Live” pre-game and post-game shows. In 2009, PRIME TICKET and sister station FOX Sports West received a total of 13 Los Angeles Area Emmy Award nominations and were honored with five Emmys.

KCAL 9 is in its fifth season as the home of the Dodgers and will once again present all of its regular season Dodger game broadcasts in high definition. KCAL 9’s Dodger gameday coverage will include the station’s THINK BLUE TV pre-game and post-game shows. In 2009, KCAL 9 and sister station CBS 2 received a total of 17 Los Angeles Area Emmy nominations and won five Emmys.

FOX's Saturday games are scheduled for April 17 vs. SF, May 22 vs. DET, June 19 at BOS, June 26 at NYY, July 10 vs. CHC, July 17 at STL, July 24 vs. NYM, July 31 at SF and Sept. 18 vs. COL, with additional games still to be announced. The Sunday July 11 game against the Cubs will air as ESPN Sunday Night Baseball, and others may be selected as the season progresses.

Hall of Fame broadcaster Vin Scully, entering his 61st season as the “Voice of the Dodgers,” will call all televised Dodgers home games. He'll also handle the road telecasts against the team’s National League West and American League West Division opponents. Scully’s 60 years of service constitute the longest tenure of any broadcaster in sports history.

For road games against non-NL West opponents, the broadcast booth will be manned by former Major Leaguer Steve Lyons, who is returning for his sixth season as an analyst on Dodger telecasts, and Eric Collins, who joined the broadcast team last season after five years with ESPN calling college football, baseball and softball.

All Dodgers games will also be broadcast on the radio on 790 KABC (English) and La Ranchera 930 (Spanish).

"Man-Ram to divide the Dodgers in half"

I've read some crazy stuff on The San Francisco Chronicle lately but this one made me laugh. Bruce Jenkins had this to say: {linked here}

It took just one day for Manny Ramirez to divide the Dodgers in half. The two sides consist of Manny, all by himself, and everyone else. The way he is approaching the final year of his contract, you wonder if he'll be gone - or essentially worthless - by the trading deadline.

Once he turns against an organization, it's all over. People are laughing heartily in Boston right now, because Man-Ram's tenure ended there after he quit on the team.
Ramirez is worthless in the trading deadline right now! Nobody will get him with his price tag and declining skills. Just because he announced that he won't be back with the Dodgers doesn't mean he is done with the team this year!

Also, why is everyone so "shocked" on what Ramirez said? Of course he won't be back. Everyone knows it including the media! This is news that shouldn't be news at all.

Ramirez should be alright. He came in camp on time and is looking good. I'm just hoping that he gets his swing back and help the Dodgers. If he's terrible, then at least we know he won't be back next year.

The S.F. Chronicle has it all wrong. Just worry about your Giants.

Jayson Werth - The Next Wolf Man ?

Former Dodger Jayson Werth came to Camp as Wolf Man.

Let's go back first...

Drafted by the Baltimore Orioles. Made a stop with the L.A. Dodgers. Finally, Philadelphia Phillies.
