Des Moines Register has a great a interview with Casey Blake. {linked here}
One night, I was kind of like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre (movie) guy,” Blake said of his job at a haunted house in hometown Indianola. “My 9-year-old and 7-year-old helped out, too — so it was a full family deal.
“It was a riot. I had a blast.”
Blake and his wife, Abbie, announced earlier this year that they would donate $1 million to the Indianola school district — with the expectation that a foundation would fuel projects that matched the money, dollar for dollar, in hopes of raising a total of $2 million.
The haunted house developed into one fundraiser. Another is a baseball camp Blake will host at Simpson College, Dec. 28-29.
“Abbie and I made the donation and challenged the community, but we still want to keep helping the community and committee that’s working so hard,” he said.

From the article:
The Blakes expect their fifth child this February.
Cliff Lee and Blake will be vacationing in Colorado.
On Wednesday, new Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Cliff Lee attended a press conference to discuss his five-year, $120 million deal.
This weekend, though, he’ll be vacationing with Blake and family in Colorado.
“Cliff and I played together in Cleveland, so we’re good friends — but our wives are even better friends,” Blake said. “I’ve obviously played in Denver, but I’ve never been to the mountains, so that should be fun.”
Blake said his contract — and the contract of Lee — will keep the four-day weekend relatively tame.
“We can’t ski or snowboard or anything because of our contracts,” he said. “But the kids can, so it will be a good time.”
That's no fun.
