Dodgers to host sixth-annual Thanksgiving Turkey giveaway

Just looking at that Turkey....I can eat it now!

The Dodgers will be doing some great things tonight. They will be giving away Turkeys to 600 pre-selected families. No, it won't be cooked just yet. :)

The Los Angeles Dodgers and the Dodgers Dream Foundation will host the sixth annual Community Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway tonight at Dodger Stadium. Dodger alumni “Sweet” Lou Johnson and Bobby Castillo will be on hand to help distribute a complimentary turkey, fixings and reusable canvas bags to 600 pre-selected families.

The Dodgers have partnered with Ralphs and Food 4 Less, Los Angeles City Council member Ed P. Reyes, Los Angeles City Council President Eric Garcetti, California State Assemblymember Kevin De León, the Greater Echo Park Elysian Neighborhood Council (GEPENC), the Echo Park Improvement Association (EPIA) and the Citizens Committee to Save Elysian Park (CCSEP) for the giveaway. The Council and Assembly members, as well as representatives from Ralphs, Food 4 Less, GEPENC, EPIA and CCSEP, will help distribute the turkeys as well.
