Dodgers New Premier Jackets - Like or Dislike? -

E-mail from Doug (works part time at the Dodgers Store in City Walk)

Hey Roberto,

Hope you are doing well and that you had a great weekend. Here's some pictures of the new Premier Jackets for this postseason/next season. The official name is  "Triple Peak Premier Jacket". The design is "interesting" to say the least. Gone is the almost rubber like material the current jackets are made of replaced with a lighter nylon type blend. The jacket is lined with fleece and is plushier than the current jackets. The collars and sleeves underwent the most radical design change  with an almost "Double collar" and "Double Sleeve" look. The cuffs on the end of the sleeves make it look like you are wearing the jacket and a a long sleeve shirt underneath. Gone is the large team logo on the left sleeve, which now just has a small embroidered patch. The jackets also include what my co-workers and I have dubbed "Armpit Ventilators" as there are two zippers underneath the under arm area that you can unzip to "air out" the jacket.
All in all I think its a strange looking jacket and I feel like they actually took a step back in the design as the current ones look better IMO.

I've included some pics I took with my cellphone and the official picture from the Dodgers shop website. Jackets retail for $124.99 at the Dodgers Clubhouse Shop and on the MLB Shop website. Don't know what the pricing at the Stadium is but it will probably be like $200+ if the current jacket prices are any indication.

Take care Roberto and have a good week!

PS: The jacket looks a bit purple in the pics (Sorry my cellphone camera is not that great) but they are dark blue. A little bit darker than the current models actually.

Thanks Doug! Always appreciate the feedback on the latest merchandise. I have to agree with you. It does look like a setback. I know it's not the Dodgers fault since this is done with MLB. All 30 teams will have this design. I'm sticking with my old Dodger jacket....

Thanks again Doug!
