9/11 We Will Never Forget

I still remember seeing the images of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and in Pennsylvania on t.v. Amazing to think it was nine years ago today. We will never forget those that died. It doesn't matter what your political or religion views are, thousands of innocent people lost their lives. Always remember September 11 for them.

Before heading to Boston to catch the Red Sox / Dodgers series this past June, we stopped in New York. Top my of "to do list" was to stop by Ground Zero. It was the first time I've visited the Big Apple. I wanted to visit all the major attractions and do what a typical tourist does. But I also wanted to visit Ground Zero.

According to news reports, a new "World Trade Center" will open on 2013. Construction began a couple of years ago. One World Trade Center, also known by its former name Freedom Tower, is the main building of the new World Trade Center complex in Lower Manhattan in New York City.

I didn't know what to expect when we arrived. I did shoot some pictures. As you can see here, construction has began.

A sad reminder of the first fire fighters that arrived.

Different views of the One World Trade Center...

I would love to go back when this is completed. Maybe whenever the Dodgers visit Yankee Stadium? :)
