Actress Melissa Joan Hart will throw out a ceremonial first pitch on behalf of StandUp2Cancer. 

Tuesday August 31, 2010 7:10pm Dodgers vs Phillies

The first 20,000 fans at Tuesday’s game will receive Cooler Bags.

Tuesday is Disability Awareness Night and the Dodgers will honor members of the disabled community as well as those who have inspired and contributed to improving the lives of people with disabilities. Approximately 600 people will be on hand at Dodger Stadium for the event and Dr. Ron Cohen, the CEO of United Cerebral Palsy, will receive the EP Maxwell J. Schleifer Distinguished Service Award on the field during pregame ceremonies. 

Dodgers are hosting their first every Tweetup in the My Town section at Dodger Stadium.  Tickets for the Tweetup cost $20 each and include a ticket to the game and a This is My Town, @DodgertownUSA t-shirt. For more information, visit

Wednesday September 1, 2010 12:10pm Dodgers vs Phillies

A group of national high school all-star players from Japan, the Koshien All-Stars, will be on hand for Wednesday’s game. The team is in town for a series of friendship games against the Major League Baseball Urban Youth Academy. For more information, visit  

Skateboarders Ryan Sheckler and Paul Rodriguez (P-Rod), who are both members of Rob Dyrdek’s Street League Skateboarding team, will throw out a ceremonial first pitch.

Following the game, pre-registered seniors in attendance as part of Senior Day will take part in Seniors Stroll the Bases. Groups participating include the AARP, Sunrise Senior Centers and Leisure World. For more information, visit

Friday September 3, 2010 7:10pm Dodgers vs Giants

Fernando Valenzuela will host a group of 40 people from Padres Contra el Cáncer at the game as part of his community program, Amigos de Fernando. The group will meet with Valenzuela on the field during batting practice and get his autograph and will receive program t-shirts. Padres Contra el Cancér brings together children, families, healthcare professionals and community leaders to promote a comprehensive understanding of childhood cancer and blood disorders as well as effective methods for their treatment.

The Dodgers will honor team photographer Jon SooHoo, who is celebrating his 25th anniversary with the team, at Friday’s game. SooHoo will throw out the ceremonial first pitch and his family will be on hand to help celebrate, as will many of his photographer colleagues. In addition, there will be an in-game video tribute to SooHoo’s 25 years with the Dodgers and he will receive gifts from the Dodgers and the city of Los Angeles as a token of their appreciation for his hard work and dedication.

The Dodgers will also honor the Los Angeles Police Department Medal of Valor recipients before Friday’s game. Police Chief Charlie Beck will be on hand for the event and will throw out a ceremonial first pitch and the LAPD will also present the colors. LAPD Officer Rosalind Curry will sing the National Anthem and God Bless America and pregame ceremonies will include a four-helicopter flyover. For more information, visit

Following the game, fans can enjoy Labor Day Weekend Fireworks presented by Dodgers Banking only at Bank of America from the outfield grass.

Sunday, September 5, 2010 5:10pm Dodgers vs Giants 

Sunday’s game will be televised nationally on ESPN.

Sunday is a Viva Los Dodgers Sunday, presented by State Farm. Starting two hours prior to the game fans can enjoy music and a family-friendly celebration in Lot 6.

Before the game, Make-A-Wish recipient Dominic Cornejo of Bakersfield will meet with Joe Torre on the field. Cornejo has metastatic cancer and made a special request through the Make-A-Wish Foundation to meet with the Dodger Manager.
