Nike Event: Bo Jackson, Albert Pujols & Joe Mauer

IMG_7967

Before going to the All-Star Fan Fest, I stopped by a Shoe Store in the O.C. area. Bo Jackson, Albert Pujols and Joe Mauer were in hand to talk about Shoes. Nike Shoes to be exact. It was a great event if you like sneakers. Around 40 High School students were in hand to get advice from these great athletes.

The Shoes: In 1990, Nike released a Bo Jackson Shoe edition titled "Bo Knows Nike Trainer SC". Fast forward two decades later and Nike releases "Nike Trainer SC 2010" to pay tribute to Jackson and Pujols. The famous slogan "Bo Knows" is now "Albert Knows" to pay tribute to Albert Pujols. There are dozens of different editions of the "Nike Trainer SC 2010". Besides Jackson and Pujols, there are also different tributes to Ken Griffey Jr and Nolan Ryan.

Nice post. I have many memories of Bo Jackson and my childhood. Makes me want to buy some Nike Shoes!

Damn! Bo Jackson looks like he's still in top shape. I believe him, if he had new legs, he would out run any football player. He would be stealing bombs and hitting bombs!

Bo Jackson may be the greatest athlete of all time. Looks like Bo has a bit of a gut. Not a Tony Gwynn size gut, but a gut nonetheless.
