Upcoming Homestand Highlights

It was a bad road trip. I'm just not going to think about it anymore. The Dodgers are back in L.A. and will begin a 10 game homestand tonight. Here's the breakdown of the homestand. I have a couple of games in mind to try to make it out there. Just need to figure out a couple of things.

Thursday April 29 vs Pirates. 7:10 pm

It's USC Night and first 20,000 fans at the game will receive Dodger hats in USC colors. Women’s Basketball Coach and former Laker star Michael Cooper will throw out a ceremonial first pitch and USC Athletic Director Mike Garrett and Men’s Basketball Coach Kevin O’Neill will also be in attendance. Celebrity chef Kerry Simon and George Maloof, owner of the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, will throw out a ceremonial first pitch. Playbill featuring a black and white image from the ‘60s poster photo shoot with the Dodgers’ coaching staff on the cover, will be handed out to fans entering the Dodger Stadium parking lot.

Friday April 30 vs Pirates. 7:10 pm

It's UCLA Night. The first 20,000 fans at the game will receive Dodger hats in UCLA colors. Pregame ceremonies will be UCLA-themed and the ceremonial first pitch will be thrown by NBA Hall of Famer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. UCLA Athletic Director Dan Guerrero and Men’s Basketball Coach Ben Howland will be in attendance as well.

Saturday May 1 vs Pirates. 7:10 pm

Rudy Law will be signing autographs at Autograph Alley.

Sunday May 2 vs Pirates. 1:10 pm

It's Viva Los Dodgers Day. Starting two hours prior to the game fans can enjoy live music and a family-friendly celebration in Lot 6 and this Sunday fans can enjoy live musical performances by Wesley y Sergio and Andrea Andrea.

Kenny Landreaux will be signing autographs at Autograph Alley.

Monday May 3 - Day Off

James Loney will host the annual State Farm Dodgers Dream Foundation Bowling Extravaganza at Lucky Strike Lanes L.A. Live. Among the teammates who are scheduled to join him are Matt Kemp, Russell Martin, Clayton Kershaw, Manny Ramirez, Blake DeWitt and many more. Tuesday May 4 vs Brewers. 7:10 pm
The first 50,000 fans at Tuesday’s game will receive THIS IS MY TOWN fleece blankets.

Wednesday May 5 vs Brewers. 7:10 pm

The Dodgers will celebrate Cinco de Mayo on Wednesday. The day’s entertainment will include Mariachi bands, Ballet Folkl√≥rico, Latin music and a ceremonial first pitch by the host of Univision’s Accion Deportiva Extra, Bernardo Osuna.

The Literacy, Arts, Culture, Education Recreation (LACER) pregame parade will take place on Wednesday with approximately 600 students and staff participating. LACER serves 10-14 year olds in the Los Angeles Unified School district through its after school programs for middle school students in Hollywood, Silver Lake, Echo Park and Glassell Park at LeConte, Irving, King and Bancroft Middle Schools.

Friday is ‘60s Night and special in-game programming and music will be dedicated to the decade. The first 20,000 fans at the game will receive collectable ‘60s-inspired rat pack posters featuring the Dodgers coaching staff dubbed “Torre’s Eleven.”

Saturday May 8 vs Rockies. 7:10 pm

Steve Yeager will be signing autographs at Autograph Alley

Sunday May 9 vs Rockies. 1:10 pm

Sunday is a Viva Los Dodgers Day. Starting two hours prior to the game fans can enjoy live music and a family-friendly celebration in Lot 6.

It is also Mother’s Appreciation Day at Dodger Stadium on Mother’s Day and the Dodgers will wear pink ribbons on their uniforms. Several players will use pink bats, including Andre Ethier, Casey Blake, Matt Kemp and Russell Martin. Special pink merchandise will be available throughout the stadium as well.

The My Town section will be turned into Dodgertown, Mothers and fans who buy seats in the section will get pink Dodgertown, Mothers t-shirts and a special all-you-can-eat menu of grilled chicken sandwiches with marinated artichokes and parmesan cheese, seasonal fruit, Dodger Dogs, nachos, peanuts, popcorn and soft drinks. Two dollars from every ticket sold in the section will go to ThinkCure!, the Dodgers’ official charity, to help fight breast cancer and find a cure. Susan G. Komen For the Cure will present a giant pink ribbon on the field during pregame ceremonies.

After the game, mothers and their families can walk around the warning track as part of a Mother’s Day Walk in the Park.

Thanks, this was great. It made it helpful to see what was going on in the next homestand and plan on what time to get there and who was autographing.
