Doug Mientkiewicz won't make the club

Ken Gurnick has news that Doug Mientkiewicz won't make the team.

Non-roster veteran Doug Mientkiewicz has left Dodgers camp after being told he wouldn't make the club, essentially confirming that non-roster veteran Garret Anderson will be the primary left-handed pinch-hitter.

Garret Anderson is your new pinch-hitter.

Did this month go by quick or what? This is the last weekend of Spring Training at Arizona. The Dodgers will be in Los Angeles next weekend to face a couple of games with the Cleveland Indians and Anaheim Angels.

I have no problem with Haeger as the number five starter.

I think Haeger is capable of five solid inning. He showed us what he could do last season. This kid has good stuff. Let's see how he does today.

BTW, Don Newcombe throwing the first pitch to Matt Kemp was awsome.
