Donate Blood !

Not a great picture. It was taken from my cell phone last Friday. This is a certificate to honor the game that the Dodgers had against the Red Sox at the L.A. Coliseum a couple of years ago. I was at the game. I wish the Dodgers would do it again but I'm guessing it won't happen again. If you remember, proceeds from that game went to Think Cure {linked here}

This certificate is on display at the Childrens Hospital in Los Angeles. They have another certificate but I wasn't able to shoot a picture. Maybe next time. I still go there from time to time but with my recent health issues, I have been going more often this year. Even though I'm a adult, I'm still being seen there. I guess they can't get rid of me. That's actually good news because I'm being treated by a really good Doctor. As you might already know, the Dodgers often make visits here.

My hospitalization stay was not held at Childrens Hospital. It was held at Harbor-UCLA. Like I mentioned before, I had about seven blood transfusions. It's not fun but you feel happy because there is actually blood available that strangers have donated. During my stay, they gave me a paper where it says to ask others to donate blood to replace the one that you used. I told this to my Wife and she gladly donated.

My point to write this post is to tell you to donate blood. It saves lives and you will feel good in doing it. I'm serious, if my Wife can do it, you can do it. She's scared of needles but came away surprised with the whole process. It's not painful. It doesn't take much time. She wanted to donate more blood but they told her you can only do it once every two months.

Here is a great link that can guide you if you have never donated blood before {linked here}

Thanks for reading.
