I'm going to be away from cyberland for a while. Since the early days of December, I haven't been feeling that great. It started with a cough then it changed to more serious symptoms. I'm not going to bore you with a long medical story (trust me, it's very long) so let me cut it short. Doctors discovered that I'm having problems with my red blood cells. It's very complicated. I've already had about six blood transfusions since the last week of December. That will help a lot but if I don't get a transfusion within four or five days, I feel terrible again. The last one I received was Friday. But all this can't be resolved by transfusions. I was already hospitalized for a couple of days during the last week of December. They have asked me to come in today again and get hospitalized. I guess I won't get released until they figure out this major puzzle. I have faith on them. I got two great medical teams and I'm hoping they can work it out.
By the way, at the Mia Hamm/Nomar Garciaparra event yesterday, a couple of autograph buddies asked me if it was the Swine Flu. Well it's not. Doctors have told me it's all related to a health problem that I've had since I was a kid. I wish it was that, at least they would know what to do by now...
My hospital stay can be for a few days or it can be for a few weeks. I have no idea. I wish I knew. I would feel a lot calmer. But I understand it's part of life.
Hey, I'll blog soon. I hope. Thanks for reading. I'm serious, thanks for always checking out this blog.
Bye.

So sorry to read this Roberto. I always check your blog in the morning, even in off season. I do hope they determine what is causing these problems and that you soon have a better treatment than just red blood cell transfusions as I know how tough those can be over time. Sending prayers your way.
