No Mr. Whicker, only the Angels are named after two cities. Mark Whicker of the OC County Register had this to say about the Dodgers this morning....In another example of how the National League team in Chavez Ravine is rapidly become the West Covina Dodgers of Los Angeles, Juan Pierre is headed for the White Sox in exchange for two minor leaguers, supposedly pitchers who can help L.A. next year.
Pierre’s departure gives the White Sox the leadoff presence that everyone thought they’d get from Chone Figgins, who instead signed with the Mariners.
Reports indicate the Dodgers will pay $10.5 million of the $18.5 million remaining on Pierre’s deal.
So who bails out the Dodgers this year if Manny Ramirez goes south?
Maybe minor leaguer Xavier Paul. The Dodgers just lost Jamie Hoffmann to the Yankees in the Rule V draft.
Hey, when you’re a small market franchise…..
Stay classy Mark... Oh wait, you wrote this piece on Jaycee Dugard? What kind of human being are you?

Well its an angel blog so what do you expect, angel fans are just angry that they lost both lackey and figgins and now have to face figgy and lee next year. You should listen to 830 am i think its so funny how they say "we lost both lackey and figgins but at least we are not the dodgers" then they said something like dodgers refuse to pay for anyone. Well if im correct Mike Scioscia said there isnt going to be a big splash and that what ever they offer to free agents they are not gonna raise it so if they offered 12 mm for lackey and he didnt accept they are not going to up there offer. So my point is that the angels are pretty much in the same sitution as us, yes we have a divorce going around but both our team dont want to spend. the end is near for the angels. Their farm system is so great
i used lackey as an example i know he is with the red sox
