Baseball Links that caught my attention...
The City of Darlington (South Carolina) plans to honor Orlando Hudson. City councilwants to put up a sign in Hudson's honor that says, "Welcome to Darlington, Home of Orlando Hudson"
The Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies will share a new Spring Training Park on 2011.
D-backs team president and CEO Derrick Hall (A former Dodgers employee) told the media that it will be the next Dodgertown. I think it's a good move. Tucson is too far.
"Dodgertown was an extremely unique experience where fans would literally walk side-by-side, shoulder-to-shoulder with the fans," Hall said. "Feel the field, a lot of photographs, a lot of autographs, that's what we want to recreate here. That's what's missing in baseball today. It's going to be as fan-friendly an experience as you will find in the game. Great access to players, lot of interactivity, very up close to the action."
Baltimore Orioles might to travel to Cuba again to play a Spring Training Game next March.
Ben Reiter of Sports Illustrated ranks the top 50 Free Agents. I don't see the Dodgers signing a big time pitcher like John Lackey. I don't see them making much moves to be honest. I hope I'm wrong. If anything, it will be through trades and only if it comes cheap. That's how I see it...
