Viva Los Dodgers


The cultural celebration is presented by Coca-Cola, Hyundai, and Time Warner Cable

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Dodgers will present their 12th annual “Viva Los Dodgers” celebration on Saturday, September 5, from 1-6 p.m., at Dodger Stadium before the 7:10 p.m. game against the San Diego Padres. The festival is sponsored by Coca-Cola, Hyundai, and Time Warner Cable.

The Viva Los Dodgers community festival includes live music from Ranchera singer Paquita La Del Barrio, Latin pop singer-songwriter Luz Ríos, and Mariachi Juvenil Mi Mexico de Francisco Rubio. Viva Los Dodgers will also feature a special performance by Mexico City-based Latin electronica artist Moenia presented by Time Warner Cable.

Interactive family-friendly areas include the Sports Zone featuring State Farm’s Home Run Derby area, Coke Zero Chill Zone, Kids Zone featuring face painters and balloon artists, and Bank of America photo station. Other features include the Beer Garden sponsored by Bud Light and Miller Lite, and California Lottery Spokesmodel Liz Hernandez will be on hand for autographs.

Autograph Alley will also be a part of Viva Los Dodgers and will include visits from Dodger Hall of Fame broadcaster Jaime Jarrín, Dodger pitching legend and current Spanish-language broadcaster Fernando Valenzuela, and broadcaster Pepe Yñiguez.

“We are proud to enter into our twelfth year of the ‘Viva Los Dodgers’ tradition in Los Angeles,” said Dodgers President Dennis Mannion. “This family festival celebrates the Dodgers in a way that is representative of the many communities and Hispanic culture that are such a big part of this city.”

Viva Los Dodgers will take place in Lot 1. Parking gates (Sunset, Golden, and Downtown gates) open at 12 p.m. Admission is free for fans holding a ticket to the game on September 5 against the Padres at 7:10 p.m.

In celebration of Mexican heritage, the Dodgers’ My Town section will be designated Dodgertown México. Fans sitting in the My Town section will enjoy cultural entertainment, receive a free Dodgertown México t-shirt, enjoy unlimited Mexican favorites including cheese quesadillas, Tequila lime chicken, and watermelon and jicama with chili lime salt, in addition to unlimited Dodger dogs, nachos, peanuts, popcorn, and soft drinks.
